The beginning of a great series that now my kid is reading

My cousin was a Batt Boy and I was one of those Special Friends. He recommended this book to me so I picked up a copy. Burned through the first book... couldn't put it down! Fast forward to ordering and reading the rest of the series, and then the Thor series, and sharing the books with my dad (old Nam vet). We can't get enough! Now we are all stuck in hurry-up-and-wait mode with full rucks on waiting for the next books in the series to come out (:

It’s a great lead in to a very fun series. I’ve highly recommended it to just about everyone I know. I can’t get enough of this world they call the Ruin.
